Anchors Away

Team

We believe that we are more than just a team, we are a family. Cross country is a great sport that encompasses the entire team. There isn’t a bench. Everyone is a vital part of what we achieve! Cross country is one of the toughest, yet most rewarding sports that you will come across. Many of our athletes play multiple sports and use cross country as conditioning, but we believe we are much more. We are truly Pacifica’s best-kept secret.

Fun

Beach, Big Bear, glow stick runs, parties, and more! We train hard, run fast, and have fun doing it. Fun is an essential part of what we do. Without fun we wouldn’t be who we are. We pride ourselves on building a family that creates lasting memories. Fun memories!

Recognition

As much as we pride ourselves on the strength of our team, cross country is a sport that awards individual efforts as well. Our team wins more than 100 medals per year. If you like awards then this is the sport for you. Come be a part of our team and get ready to expand your trophy case!

Meet the Coaches

Joshua Hogate

Head Coach

Coach Josh is entering his second year as the head coach and fourth year as a member of the coaching staff. As a former Mariner runner, he understands the rich tradition that this team has to offer. As a four-year letterman, he was a part of some of the most successful teams that have passed through Pacifica and is excited to bring that winning tradition back!

Charisa Dorn

Assistant Coach

Hi everyone! My name is Charisa Dorn and I’m thrilled to be the assistant cross country coach this year! I graduated from Pacifica in 2015, and have very fond memories of Track and Cross Country. Last year I was studying in Chicago to become a nurse, but decided to return to California to study to become an Occupational Therapist instead. I hope to transfer into Cal State Fullerton in the spring. I love rollerblading, going to coffee shops, and traveling abroad. Thanks to everyone who made me feel so welcome my first few weeks, and I’m looking forward to meeting everyone.
